Special localized versions of the identity elements are created for regions where Latin type is not used. Only if the Latin type is prohibited in a region, the wordmark can be replaced with the local graphemes (letters, hieroglyphs, and syllabic signs).
The localized version of the World of Tanks identity block in Chinese Simplified is given here as an example. Also, there are officially approved versions of the logo and motto localized in Chinese Traditional language.
The Russian style guide for the project contains localized versions of corporate identity block and motto for the CIS countries: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan.
The localization rules of identity elements are as follows:
- The ratios and proportions of the wordmark, motto, and sign remain unchanged.
- Graphemes (letters, hieroglyphs, and syllabic signs) must be designed in a realistic manner, using the armor textures of the tanks with scratches, spots of oil, and signs of exhaustion
