FONT

Along with the logo, motto, identity block, and color palette, the identity font helps define the visual style of the project. Hybrid Wars uses Open Sans and Russo One.

The project’s main font is Open Sans. Only regular (Open Sans Regular) and semibold (Open Sans Bold) variations are used. Semibold is used primarily in the headers, while regular is preferable for text blocks. Russo One and large size Open Sans Bold are used as accent identity fonts.

Open Sans is an all-around laconic typeface that corresponds fully to the brand personality and is used in all visual communications. The typeface of the wordmark and Russo One closely resemble each other. Therefore, identity font usage is recommended for all visual marketing materials.

Verdana is a system typeface that closely resembles Open Sans in character. Some technical issues, such as e-document flow, mailout, etc., may mean the identity fonts are not suitable. In such cases, use Verdana.

TEXT EFFECTS

To ensure consistency within the project, corporate text effects (FX) were developed for Russo One large size. The Library contains two versions of text effects: dark and light.

ALGORITHM FOR USING THE TEXT EFFECTS IN THE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP FILE IS AS FOLLOWS:

1/ Open file with text effects. 

2/ Select layer with text effects and Copy Layer Style.

3/ Select the layer you want to apply the effect to and Paste Layer Style. 

4/ Double-click the layer to open Layer Style dialog box. Change the scale depending on the font size: 50% for the regular size and 100% for the large font size.
